Clinique Almost Bronzer SPF 15 : Review & Swatches

The makers of my most favorite sunscreen are out with spanking new bronzers. The Clinique Almost New Bronzers ($28.50) are part of their Summer 2009 Self Sun Collection. The collection features several self / safe tanning products including Body Airbrush Spray, Face Tinted Lotion, Body Tinted Lotion, Body Daily Moisturizer and of course the Almost Bronzers. Since I am naturally pretty tan, the only thing that appealed to me were their bronzers.

The Clinique Almost Bronzers are available in two shades - Light / Medium and Medium / Deep. The compacts each have two shades in them . One half is a lighter highlighting shade for the perfect sun kissed glow and the other a deeper shade for a more pronounced bronze look. My favorite thing to do with this compact is to contour. There is a brush hidden under the product that is surprisingly very useful. It is super soft, dense and is brilliant for contouring. I use the deeper shade along the natural hollow of my cheeks and move it onto the temple. And then use the lighter shade on the apples of my cheeks. The contrast is not too striking which is just the effect one wants to achieve for everyday face contouring. Additionally one can also use the darker shade on the corners of the nose and the lighter shade along the bridge of the nose for the JLo style glow. I love the versatility of the compact - a sheer look, a medium look , a more intense look and contouring - All in one !

If you are new to powder bronzers and are looking for something easy to use yet something that gives you enough choices to perfect your bronzed look , check this bronzer out . Its the answer to all your prayers.

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper Mascara : Review

First look at the Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara and you will not miss its resemblance to Lash Blast from CG. If you remember my review of Lash Blast and my rants there after, you know that it did not work on me. The whole world was singing its praise and I moved away to a corner and started my own "I don't like Lash Blast" gang. That being said I am happy to report this Lash Blast Look - A - Like , I like !

The 2000 Calorie Mascara has a thick wand but I found it to be softer than Lash Blast's. The color is deep and totally fab ! In just a couple of coats I could feel longer, well defined lashes popping out with oodles of volume ! Totally surprising because a lot of reviewers online haven't been that unanimous in their love for this product. But to me its extraordinary ! I have really bad lashes, man ! They are average length, and poke downwards so if they work on me rest assured they will work pretty good on you. Also,no fall outs . I think fall outs are in the past as far as mascaras these days are concerned. Its been a while since tried one that gave me the polka dot effect under my eyes. You see, it delivers on all fronts very well !

Over all for less than $7 this is one of the best mascaras I've tried off late and I have tried plenty !

Indian Girl
