All You Ever Wanted - Inspired By Demi Moore

Anybody tried the Helena Rubinstein Frangrance - All You've Ever Wanted, inspired by Demi Moore ? I like Demi and have been dying to check this one out. Most celebrity perfumes for some reason are too sweet or too flowery in general. I'm hoping this one will be different.


Haha. Rachel Zoe is cute ! I used to love mascaras with big brushes too until I met Maybelline Lash Stiletto. It taught be that thin ones can be great too !

The Fragrance

"The floral notes (orange blossom, Bulgarian rose) add femininity, tenderness and elegance. Frankincense intensifies the pure, mineral character of the lingering notes. Vanilla amplifies intimacy and sensuality."

Its very different from the other Kenzo fragrances, I've tried. For one there is no hint of powder, that is otherwise very popular in many other Kenzo fragrances. Its an extremely sensual and sexy fragrance. I'd say its just as exquisite as the bottle. You have to try it to believe it ! The 40ml Ea De Parfum will be yours for $188 !

L'eauparKenzo Eau Indigo : Will Woo That Cowboy

Before I tell you what I thought of the perfume you have got to read Kenzo's description of it. Read it.

Woo That Cowboy

I am no perfume connoisseur but I think I know my perfumes well. I know which fragrances I am drawn to and which I want to stay away from. Indigo, has a more easily likeable scent. Its tough going wrong with it. In my humblest non poetic attempt I'd say, this is the most sensuous fragrance I own. It is one fragrance I want to save so I could wear it on the occasion I meet a handsome cowboy. But then I have no control over my hands. Each time I open the cupboard my hands reach for this purple bottle. Its a special variation of Tourettes Syndrome. All my other fragrances have taken backseat for now as I am desperately trying to hold onto this cowboy alluring scent. And they have a matching one for him too !

Its not just Kenzo who does poetry around here...

I must also let you know that this is a popular enchanting Woo-doo chant. Repeating it three times a day just after your meal will result in you meeting your handsome cowboy. Trust me he will hear you and come riding on his mighty horse (or a non fancy truck , if hez anything like my TX cowboy)

Dove Go Fresh Energizing Deodorant : Review

I'll keep this simple and get straight to the point. I was super sad it did not work for me. I mean everybody was talking about it and the ads were great, so I ran to CVS and got it. Unfortunately the Go Fresh stick deodorant failed to keep me dry. And I did not like the Grapefruit & lemongrass scent. There actually was no Grapefruit or lemon grass scent to it. All I got was a typical deodorant scent. No like that's bad but I wanted the G and L .

I am now officially going back to my Dove original for sensitive skin . That one works great, stays on for hours and has no scent ! All hail the original.

Flower By Kenzo Spring Fragrance : Review

How many times do you read the intro to a perfume before buying it. Not that many times I'm sure . But this intro to Flower by Kenzo Spring Fragrance ($52) is just so beautiful. It can almost convince one to go get it.

"Dawn breaks at the end of a long winter; a singular light warms the atmosphere, permeating the landscape little by little. Spring is here. FLOWERBYKENZO Spring Fragrance Limited Edition, a sparkling floral, welcomes the return of life with lively mandarin and ginger notes, brightened by a touch of lychee. At its heart, suave notes of parma violet, freesia and white musk unfold."

Every time I go for a run on the trail, I think of this fragrance and its intro. I see the greenery around me, the canopy of trees , the flowers , the water and I think of Flower by Kenzo. I think of how dry and scary the place used to be and how lively and colorful the spring has made it. Aah, the joy of new life. If you cant tell , this perfume awakens the poetess in me. The rest of me wakes up only to the sound of lawn mowers outside. Damn those machines.

The fragrance on my skin is a unique blend of powder and incense with violets dancing on top and musk just coming and going. You have to love musk and incense to love this perfume for who she is. The packaging as always is brilliant. The fragrance comes in a frosted , tall & slender bottle with one red poppy on it. Classy !

I love this perfume.

Bath & Body Works - Butterfly Flower Collection : Review

I have always had a love-hate relationship with Bath & Body Works. Most often I enter the store and try so many things that I end up with a bad headache from the mixture of heavy scents. I'm sure you have had similar experiences. Every time I get that headache I tell myself I wont try as many things the next time, but invariably end up doing so and later repenting. But all that trouble is worth it, only if I can find something I love. And once in a while, I do.


One such scent that I currently love is that of their New Signature Butterfly Flower Collection. The first time I saw "butterfly" flower, the only person I could think of was Mariah Carey. Remember her butterfly phase ? I'm glad she outta that now. The perfume, however is inspired by the butterfly flower gardens that attract these colorful insects. The scent is set to capture a light living, airy fragrance that surrounds such gardens. Imagine the beauty, it would be. I must see if we have any such gardens around here...

Top Notes : Black Tea, Tangerine, Cyclamen, Banana Leaf
Mid Notes : Maxillania Tenufolia Orchid, Asia Syringa Flower, French Mimosa
Dry Down Notes : Creamy Coconut Milk, Musk

For me to *love* a scent, it has to be light. That is exactly what this collection is about. Everything from the body lotion (10.50 ), shower gel (10.50) to the Eau De Toilette (29.50) carries this nature inspired, green, fresh cut flowers kinda fragrance. It is very springy and very delicate. The next time you are at Bath & Body Works, reach for this line first. Trust me , if you go to it after having tried the heavy peonies , cherry blossoms and vanillas, the fragrance will just get lost on you.

A lot of times I simply just get bored and do not finish the shower gels / lotions. The several rows of signature collections, Victoria Secret Sprays in my bathroom will speak for it.
