I cant even begin to describe how much his music influenced me growing up. I am sure several of you have similar things to say. I remember when I was in 5th grade or so, my study partner was crazy about MJ and I remember seeing the Thriller video for the first time in his house. I never got it then and was scared to death. But then slowly I fell into the rhythm that was MJ . Later on in 9th grade, several of my friends and I got together and made a small singsong of sorts at school which featured several songs from crazy boy bands and of course MJ. We had used their tunes and written our own lyrics. The Earth song was big then and I remember having such positive thoughts about this man and all that he was doing. The charities, the celebrity fund raisers , the millions of $ he gave. I never believed all the "claims" that were made against him later on.To me he always remained the King of Pop and a philanthropist like no other.
I think Pete Wentz said it the best "I have never felt this before in my life. I could measure my childhood on an MJ growth chart. Rip. The last legend."
R.I.P MJ

Indian Girl
