Love Zoe's makeup at the Critics Choice Awards ! It is light on the cheeks , lips and a lot more festive on the eyes ! She was great in Avatar !


Eyes : Apply a matte brown shadow ( MAC Soft Brown) on your entire lid and blend it with a bit of peach (MAC Tete-A-Tint) on the outer corners. Over the shadow dab a layer of eye safe gold glitter or use a shimmery gold creme shadow like Julie Hewett Shimmie - Cleo. Complete the look with eyeliner along the upper lash line, waterline and loads of mascara or false lashes. Don't forget grooming the brows.

Burt's Bees : Have You Tried It ?

Have you tried Burt's Bees products ?

For the longest time my lips were addicted to Burt's bees lip balm. Other than that I haven't tried a whole lot from the brand - a tomato soap (not soup) here, a trial pack of shampoo there was all. But I've always wanted to explore the brand a lot more. Their products are all mostly natural and they have a natural scale on their products - 95%, 99% and so on.

I had a classmate in school who swore by the Res Q ointment. She was Chinese, 38 years old. Looked nothing like it and she told me it was all because of the Res Q ointment. True several Asians, age very slowly but at 38 you do start seeing something - they don't look 16 !

If you're interested other things she told me was to keep caffeine away( she never drinks coffee), lots of green tea ( I had the brands written on my notebook...Key word : had) and eat only when you're hungry.

Too bad I cant do most of the above but I've been trying Res Q. Its brilliant ! I'll tell you my story soon. Its a gross story but efficiently describes the usefulness of this product !

For now, you tell me - What are your favorite products from the brand ? Anything you really really recommend ?

Beauty Confession: I'm a Twihard of sorts (SCREAM), So Some Products Used in New Moon

It hurts to admit this, but I'm a twilight fan. I don't think vampires should be so... vegetarian. I like them a bit more sinister like in the Sookie Stackhouse novels, but I love the twilight series nonetheless (I once almost missed a flight because I was so engrossed on Breaking Dawn). For all those who judge me for this, sticks and stones my friends...


Anyways, here's a little tid bit I got sent on Dermalogica and New Moon.

All of the Actors required a LOT of make up & it was on their faces for long periods of time, so we needed to take particular care of their skins. Vampires don't perspire, don't grow facial hair, don't get lines & certainly don’t get BLEMISHES!

We loved Dermalogica’s Active Moist which we used on most of the Cast as it is quite universal & suits most types of skin. The Pre Cleanse was invaluable for cleansing off the body make up, especially because we had to apply a make up fixative & it was difficult to remove. But we didn't want anything that was harsh or might induce a reaction.

The "Intensive Eye Cream" was great for keeping the fine lines around the eyes at bay. A TINY amount patted under the eye for "final checks" (on top of the make up) did wonders to diminish the lines for close ups ;)

And finally, the Shaving Regime was used on all of the guys with great success! Again, it was really important to be sympathetic to their skins as they had to have a REALLY CLOSE shave. I'm a great fan of the shaving oil and it can be used for "wet" shaves or electric shaves! We even had to shave some of them in the middle of the day to maintain the smooth look to their skin!

I also loved the Renewal Lip Complex to keep their lips smooth during the cold, windy days during exterior filming. **Perfect for those up-close kissing scenes!

In fact, we used a lot of the skin care on the entire Cast!”

It’s a little more involved on set with hot towel treatments and Dermalogica pre-cleanse to get all that white makeup off. We use a lot Dermalogica products…I love the Microfoliant!”

Forehead Wrinkle Makeup

Forehead wrinkles are known as frowning wrinkles. These wrinkles appear either in vertical lines in between the eyebrows or horizontal lines underneath the hair line. These are caused with the growing age same as wrinkles around eye, cheeks and chin. Forehead Wrinkle MakeupFew people would observe wrinkles on the forehead in early thirties. One of the reason for this is lack of skin moisture improper skin care. Thus, one should drink lot of water and always keep skin hydrated to avoid premature wrinkle formation on head from Dry skin. Also use a good moisturizer containing sun screen with SPF 15 minimum once in a day. However, once frowning wrinkles are formed precautions could be taken not let it further increase and hide it with the touch of makeup.

Hide Frowning Wrinkles with Makeup: There are few products that are produced specially to put out of sight the wrinkles on forehead and other facial areas. Wrinkle filler, instant wrinkle creams and anti wrinkle makeup foundation are quite effective in hiding the undesirable soft lines on the forehead. Depending upon the intensity of wrinkles these products could be used. If the wrinkles are too much and very prominent then wrinkle filler has to be used else a good anti-wrinkle foundation would be sufficient.

Step 1: Clean the face with regular face wash and wipe it off gently with the clean towel. Cleansing milk can also be used for cleaning the face.
Step 2: Apply the moisturizer with SPF 15 sun screen block all over the face. Ensure to apply thoroughly on forehead and other wrinkle prone facial areas.
Step 3: If the frowning wrinkles are very much noticeable then first put the wrinkle filler smoothly on the forehand along the lines. This should be omitted if the wrinkles are still thin lines.
Step 4: Take little liquid anti-wrinkle foundation on the palm and with finger tip apply it on the forehead and on the rest of the face. Blend it well using a clean sponge. Pick up the foundation shade close to the skin tone.
Step 5: Next put concealer on unwanted thin lines. Merge well.
Step 6: With the help of the brush or puff apply the face powder to give the uniform look to the entire face.

With these simple makeup steps one could easily hide the frowning wrinkles and look fabulous. In case if the person is in hurry and cannot spare time for applying makeup then instant wrinkle cream is good alternative to cover the frowning wrinkles. Just apply it as any other regular cream with special attention on wrinkled facial areas and blend it well. Within couple of minutes the positive results can be seen. It is always recommended to use organic-based makeup products and natural wrinkle remedies and having antioxidants and vitamin E as it holds the skin elasticity intact and protects the face from premature wrinkles.
