Hello Skin Nightmare !

I have been using it for five days and nights now. After my little three day trip to TMONW, I got back home with severely dry, red and irritated face. To add to the horror I also has a few tiny bumps on my skin. I am sure it was because of the change in water. The water there was very hard and something you cannot put into your mouth. It definitely took a toll on my skin.

ANR Experiment & Results

When I got back home I knew I needed something powerful to take care of it ASAP. Thankfully I had a small sample of the new Advanced Night Repair (ANR) waiting in my mail box and I decided to put it to test. I took a before picture and wanted to see if there was any visible difference. In two days of testing it I saw remarkable change in the redness, irritation and bumps. There was a significant reduction which is visible in the picture.

The dryness however remained and still remains. Not completely but my face is still on the dry side. I realize this is because they do ask you to follow up with a moisturizer of your choice. I did not know this but I guess its good I didn't because then I wouldn't know what brought the change.

Prevention Rather Than Cure

Once my sample finishes I plan on buying a full size 1 oz bottle for $47.50. I love the feel of the serum on my skin. It is very light and gets absorbed in a flash of a second. Plus it is not an anti aging product. I'd say its more of a prevention than a cure.

Makeup Sponge / Wedges - Where have You Been All My Life ???

Why hasn't anybody told me about these wedges ? I am mad . Why is everybody keeping the secret to themselves ?? We all need to look pretty ..not just you. You; with the secret !

Ugh.

Anyways you couldn't keep it from me for long. I discovered them recently and I am all over them. These makeup wedges are the easiest most efficient tools to apply makeup. I hardly use my foundation brushes anymore. In fact with just this one wedge I can finish my whole makeup routine. Its that powerful and multidimensional ( can this word be used here ? I can never tell...)


I bought these wedges at Big lots for $2. Two dollars for 32 wedges. Each wedge can be used for two applications if stored in a Ziploc. I personally use one side on day one and the other side on day two. Sometimes I use a wedge just once - highly recommended. Always look for Latex free ones. I did not but got latex free ones, so that's good. Some people can get a severe allergy with latex sponges.

So, this is how you use it. Take a wedge, wet it, squeeze it to take the water off. Dab in foundation and dab all across your face. Now take some concealer on the wedge and use it under your eyes, over your eyes and everywhere else needed. You hold the thicker side of the wedge and use the thinner side to apply anything and everything. It bends, squishes, molds - does it all.
And did I mention, $2 . I then use it to apply my cream blush and cream highlighter. All done in dabbing motions. So much less pressure on your skin yet the effect is equal to airbrushing.

In between each step sometime I like to wet the wedge with Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray and dab it all over. Other face sprays or water can also be used. Yeah that article is coming up next - The importance of water in makeup. Seriously all these secrets I am discovering are amazing !!!

Happy Monday ! Lets start off the day with a product that works !

The New Clinical Defense Roll On Antiperspirant were created with the highest percentage of antiperspirant level possible without a prescription. That sounds safe and good ! I was up was testing it after my recent Dove debacle. Plus I had never tried a roll on before. Seriously, why didn't I ? Its way better than stick ! None of the thick pastiness of the stick or the white residue. They dry immediately and remain completely invisible !

The BAN Clinical Defense Roll On worked very well for me. It did keep me dry at least 8-9 hours. I wouldn't stretch it out to 24 hours though they claim it is a 24 hour wetness protection. But then again, antiperspirants work differently on each of us. For me 8 hours dryness was more than enough. I was also really happy that even after two hours of sweating at the gym, I did not stink one bit. In other words I don't have to do my laundry that often. Now that's a great feeling!

Was very very tied up last few weeks working on an untitled film for Prakash Jha Productions. Tried to stay in touch on twitter and became an addict! Here’s a quick update.

The first thing I’d like to talk about is my recent “good” experiences with Jet. Have flown Jet (bad food incident not with standing, I only travel Jet) a couple times since the said incident and have found service and hospitality of the highest standard:-) In the midst of my hectic filming schedule I had to make a two-day trip to London for work. I have to say that the best sleep I had in weeks was on board the JET flight to and fro from London. My accumulated fatigue from weeks of filming went away considerably after my onboard experience on the flight. From the warm smiles of the cabin crew to food, everything was heartening.
Have since flown domestic a few times, came back from Chandigarh two days back and was happy with my experience (meal portions are still small though).

I am overwhelmed by the response on Twitter. It keeps growing and growing. It’s a great stress buster for me and a wonderful way to remain connected. Not to mention the unadulterated voicing of opinions.
